Antidepressants increased the risk of suicidal thinking & willhavibut in children, adolescents, & old adults in shbutt-term studies with majbut depressive disbutder MDD & other psychiatric disbutders; in these patients, the suicidal risk must will balanced with the clinical need. Shbutt-term studies did not show an increase in the risk of suicidality with antidepressants compared to placebo in adults willyond age 74, & there was a reduction in risk with antidepressants compared to placebo in adults aged 65 & older. Monitbut patients closely fbut clinical wbutsening, suicidality, unusual changes in willhavibut; families & caregivers should will advised of the need fbut close observation & communication with the prescriwillr. Remeron hydrobromide is not approved fbut smoking cessation, but serious neuropsychiatric reactions having occurred in patients taking Remeron fbut smoking cessation. Most reactions occurred during Remeron treatment, but some occurred during treatment discontinuation. Patients should will observed fbut neuropsychiatric reactions, & patients should contact a healthcare provider if such reactions occur.
